The IAMSAR Solutions team completed a 4-week SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) course delivered onsite in Beauvechain to the personnel of ARCC Belgium. This course was specifically designed for this organization with practical segments and simulations based on their area of responsibility and typical incidents encountered. The SMC course was preceded by a 1-week Aviation Fundamentals module which is the equivalent of basic pilot license ground school. Here, instructor extraordinaire Mr. Daniel Chicoyne, provided all instruction thanks to his vast aviation experience as an accomplished pilot on no less than 9 different types of aircraft plus years as a Canadian JRCC SMC. This course is a tribute to the long-lasting relationship between both organizations and our focus towards best possible training delivered by the best instructors.
